The "special topic" this term is
A Rhetorical Approach to Workplace Communication
in Digital Environments.
Course Objectives:
The primary objective of English 405c is to help you communicate with colleagues more effectively in increasingly complex, professional digital spaces. In order to communicate effectively and appropriately you'll need to better understand the "knowledge community" for whom you hope to work, upon graduation. Many of your assignments give you the opportunity to explore these knowledge communities. The primary "digital space" for your work will be in Carmen (@OSU) and in your professional blog. You will also be expected to read and respond thoughtfully and effectively to materials produced by others. Optional Text: Philip Kolin, Successful Writing at Work, 7th ed.
